The Boston Celtics had an interesting off -season. Brad Stevens had to exchange two key elements from the team’s heart to obtain luxury tax lounges and Jayson Tatum was at the start of his recovery from the tear of his Achilles in the team’s eliminatory series against the New York Knicks.

Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis were both exchanged. Al Horford should not come back to the Celtics next season either.

Add to the fact that Luke Kornet also left the NBA free agency team to sign with the San Antonio Spurs, and Boston has a major question mark in the central position. Could Stevens seek to solve this problem this offseason?

Connor Thomas de Bleacher Report proposed a commercial idea that would drop out a great star of three teams in Boston. He suggested a potential trade for the star of Sacramento Kings Domantas Sabonis.

In his commercial idea, Thomas suggested Sabonis heading towards the Celtics in exchange for Anfernee Simons, Sam Hauser, Georges Niang, Neemias Queta and two first -round choices.

To give up so much in a business would be a major swing for Boston. However, Sabonis is the kind of player who was worth swing so that the fences acquire.

During the 2024-25 NBA season with the Kings, Sabonis continued its level of elite game. He played in 70 games, with an average of 19.1 points per match to accompany 13.9 rebounds and six assists. Sabonis did all this by firing 59% of the soil and 41.7% of the line at three points.

At 29, Sabonis would be suitable for the chronology of Celtics currently. He has two years left on his contract after the 2025-26 campaign. This would give Tatum a lot of time to return to full health with Sabonis on the list.

Sabonis also has a handful of good years to play at its peak. A new “Big Four” from Sabonis, Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White would make Boston a high -level competitor for years to come.

Of course, this is just an idea. If the Celtics were to withdraw this successful type of job, they should add more depth of the bench. It is an interesting idea, although it is a little eccentric.
