Chaminade getting close to building its new sports complex

It gets closer.
Chaminade Prep in West Hills plans to start the demolition soon of the 4.8 acres of buildings she acquired in 2018 which will become her sports fields. Next year, construction will start on a baseball field, a swimming pool and training grounds that could be completed by 2027, according to sports director Todd Borowski. The two projects need final approval of the city before the start of the work.
The buildings of the old shopping center have been abandoned and the property is fenced.
Chaminade has phases provided for construction which will include a pedestrian bridge to connect its main campus on the other side of the street with the new fields. A new softball field will replace the current baseball field. There will be new classrooms on campus and a new school entrance.
Here is a video from the school explaining the whole building that will start soon.
Chaminade is the second school of the League mission adding new sports fields. Harvard-Westlake is expected to open its River Park complex next year which includes a gym, fields, swimming pools and parking.
