Chicago-area weather forecast this week includes Extreme Cold Watch Friday, some snow

A blast of cold air is on its way to the Chicago area later this week, after more snowfall is expected Wednesday.
A Extreme cold monitoring is scheduled to go into effect from 3 a.m. to noon Friday for the Chicago area.

A light flurry of snow is expected between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Wind speeds will also increase overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.
On Friday, wind chills could reach 30 to 35 degrees below zero.

This could cause frostbite on exposed skin in just 10 minutes.
