Chicago White Sox game begins after 3½-hour delay

Wednesday’s White Sox’s White Sox match against the Philadelphia Phillies in the field started after a 3 -hour, 35 -minute weather time.
Wednesday’s match, initially scheduled for a start at 1:10 p.m., is the rubber match of the series after the SOX won 6-2 on Monday and the Phillies won 6-3 on Tuesday.
Tyler Alexander started for SOX. Adrian Houser was the original starter, but was mentioned in commercial speculation. The trade deadline is Thursday.
“We are going to start with Alexander, and it will be a day of lift enclosures beyond,” said Sox Venable manager before the match. “We will (Mike) have several sleeves. We will not see Dan Altavilla. But apart from that, everyone will have to contribute today.
“With Houser, we were transparent with him, just the market around him and the potential of a profession. I thought it was in the best interest of everyone to change the start today.”
