Chicago White Sox surrender 3 home runs in 5-4 loss to the Rays

Adrian Houser had an impressive short stay this season with the Chicago White Sox before being exchanged at the Rays of Tampa Bay.
Houser returned to Rate Field on Tuesday, but it was another player who spent time this year in the organization of the SOX – Tristan Gray – making the difference for the shelves.
Gray struck a solo circuit broken in seventh round while the Rays dominated the SOX 5-4 in front of 12,487.
“I do not think that it was so much against who it was to whom it was,” Gray told journalists covering the shelves. “It was more where we were in the game and what it meant for us.”
Gray was called by SOX on July 7, but did not play that evening and was billed in Triple-A Charlotte the next day. Gray played 72 games this season for the Knights before the SOX exchanged him at the Rays for cash considerations on July 26.
The SOXs treated Houser in the Rays on July 31 for the inner field player Curtis Mead and the launchers of the minor League Duncan Davitt and Ben Peoples.

During his time with the SOX, HOUSER went 6-2 with an MPM of 2.10 and 47 stick withdrawals on 11 departures. He had signed with the team on May 20.
HOUSER granted three points on four sure with nine stick withdrawals and no march in 5 1/3 rounds on Tuesday.
“It was great,” said Houser about returning to the rate field. “I love these guys there. It’s a good group of guys. I was lucky to be able to join them when I did it, and I had a good time with them. The atmosphere there is great. I wish them the best and I can see that they will have a good future.
“But being back here, it was pretty cool. A pretty cool moment to enjoy. It was fun.”
The SOXs finished with 13 stick withdrawals.
“We did a very good job by putting the ball at stake,” said SOX manager, venable. “I also have to give Arian a little credit. We obviously saw it here and what he could do. He was great.
“I think he did his thing and found places in the area he could attack and made things really difficult for us. We know that Adrian is very good. ”
The SOXs finished the game without venable, which was ejected for having discussed after a call to Lenyn Sosa during a sixth round.
“Yeah, there was a certain frustration on our side, probably on their side too,” said Venable. “Just one of these nights. It happens. It’s baseball. It’s a difficult job there. Just a few throws have not been in our direction.”
The SOXs arrived in Houser during the first round when the receiver Kyle Teel struck a 405 -foot home run in the central field.
“It was different from him,” said Teel. “He’s a good launcher. I just know that he has an elite lead and that’s what I got.”
HOUSER rebounded, and at one point, had a section of six withdrawals in the consecutive stick – the last two strikers of the third round, the three in the fourth and the first fifth striker.
With two withdrawals in the fifth, Brooks Baldwin tripled. He scored on a single by Chase Meidroth, bringing the SOX in the 4-2.
Sosa chose an outing in the sixth, Houser’s final striker. Colson Montgomery doubled the Mason Montgomery lifter, bringing to the Sosa house. Colson Montgomery later marked the race on a single by Andrew Benintendi.
Equality did not last long. Gray attracted the Tyler Alexander lifter with a withdrawal in the seventh to put the Rays in advance 5-4.
It was the third home run of the night for the Rays. Josh Lowe struck a two -point circuit against the starter Yoendrys Gómez as part of a second three -point round. Richie Palacios connected for a solo home run in the fourth. Gómez has granted four points over five safe with five stick withdrawals and a five -round walking.
“I don’t think it was a good outing,” said Gómez through an interpreter. “I allowed four points and it’s not good. You must also give them credit. They made adjustments for my interruptions. ”
The SOX (55-90) lost only the second time in their last nine games.
“I have the impression that we never got out,” said Teel about the rally. “Obviously, not the result we wanted, but we rippied ourselves. I just had to do things a little better and you are there.”
