“It’s different to experience this as a director, I played for Fiorentina and Juventus in this match, so I know what it means for both sets of fans and how difficult it can be,” Chiellini told DAZN Italia.

The start of the campaign has been very difficult for these two teams, in Serie A and in European football, who this month dismissed coaches Stefano Pioli and Igor Tudor to call on Paolo Vanoli and Luciano Spalletti respectively.
“We expect a lot from Spalletti, which is what he has always done in his teams. He has had a little time to work in the last two weeks, because we had 7-8 players who did not go to the selection and 3-4 training sessions with the whole team. He is more and more able to make his mark on the team and we are happy, but we have to talk on the pitch.
“I also know Vanoli well and he will bring positive energy to Fiorentina, but we know that a result here would be an important signal for our season.”

Juve have Lloyd Kelly back in defense today, but also appear to be keeping Teun Koopmeiners in this new role in the back three.
Dusan Vlahovic starts with Kenan Yildiz from the start, two players at the center of seemingly endless contract and transfer speculation.
“There have been a lot of discussions, but Kenan has three and a half years of contract, we want to continue together,” assured Chiellini.
“Damien Comolli has already spoken about the Vlahovic situation which we will continue this season. They are two important players, we expect a lot from them tonight and throughout the campaign.”
