Dangerous behavior, discriminatory comments, tragic chants and inappropriate gestures are not acceptable, and you could be breaking the law and facing a football ban. The club applies a zero tolerance policy towards any form of hatred and condemns this type of behavior.
Some things to consider before traveling can be found below.
Plan your trip early:
-
Whether you travel by train/car/bus, make sure you leave with plenty of free time before the game. Fans are strongly recommended to book in advance at a safe and secure car park to avoid fines, particularly if they are unfamiliar with the area. Parking can be found here.
-
Public transport is the easiest and most efficient way to access the stadium and it is recommended to plan your route in advance. Liverpool FC have created a comprehensive guide to visiting Anfield, including using public transport, which can be viewed by clicking here.
Stadium layout and policies:
-
Visiting fans will enter via Entrances Q and R and will need to approach Anfield Road towards 97 Avenue as there is no access from Arkles Lane. At the end of the game, please turn left.
-
There is no direct access to Anfield Road from the Stanley car park. Access from Away Coach Parking and Stanley Parking is along Dahlia Walk to 97 Avenue.
-
All bags will be subject to a visual search before entering the stadium.
-
Only small handbags no larger than A5 (148.5 x 210 mm / 5.8 x 8.3 inches) and clear LFC Superstore bags containing Superstore purchases are permitted into the stadium.
-
Any supporter who must bring an oversized bag for medical reasons is advised to notify the club by email at least 48 hours before the match. The request should be sent to the Disability Team at disability@liverpoolfc.com. An email approving the request will be sent back to the supporter who may be invited to present it at the stadium.
-
Flags less than 2m x 1m with a small pole (less than 7mm in diameter and less than 1m long) will be permitted in all areas of the stadium. Flags exceeding these measurements are permitted in the visitors’ section and must be checked before entry, provided they are accompanied by fire safety.
-
There is a list of prohibited items in the stadium, including laptops and tablets, strollers/prams, and large video recording equipment and cameras. To see the full list, click here.
Be careful:
-
Ensure the safety of others at all times, particularly during match incidents, pre-match and at half-time in the concourses.
-
Remember that throwing objects as well as the use of flares, pyrotechnics and smoke bombs are strictly prohibited.
-
Stay in the seat you purchased and avoid standing on your seats and blocking aisles in the outdoor section.
