Chinese brand Seaviv surprises the mini PC market with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PC that includes an SD 4.0 slot

The Chinese manufacturer Seaviv revealed the Aid R1, a premium mini PC using Ryzen Ai Max + 395 “Stix Halo” by AMD.
The Ryzen AI Max + 395 offers 16 Zen 5 and 32 Threads processor cores, offering high multiple performance to require creative, AI and professional workloads.
The IGPU Radeon 80660S integrated to forty calculation units, which makes it able to match discreet GPUs such as the laptop GPU RTX 5060.
Mini PC Strix Halo continue to flood the market
After the beginnings of the first mini PC based on Halo, the GMKTEC Evo-X2, more than a dozen models now present this chip, including the ultra G1A Zbook of HP, Beelink AI Mini, Aoostar Nex395 and others.
In synthetic references, this processor is in competition with fleas like the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D and is between M3 Max and M4 Max of Apple.
The R1 aid system memory is shared between the CPU and the IGPU. This means that up to 96 GB can work like VRAM in Windows.
This allows workloads such as the inference of the large language model which generally exceeds the limits of consumers’ GPUs.
The remarkable distinction of this workstation is the inclusion of an SD 4.0 location, a characteristic rarely seen on similar systems.
Photographers, videographers and designers that rely on rapid direct file transfers will love this feature because they can move files without the need for external card readers.
This detail alone distinguishes it in a congested category dominated by high specification devices without such convenience for creators.
Seaviv equips Assistance R1 with a triple two fans heating pipes designed to maintain high performance under load.
However, the way this professional PC works during prolonged intensive use will only be clear after practical tests.
Connectivity is extended, including USB4 Type C USB4 ports with DisplayPort 1.4 ports and Triple 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports.
It also offers USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, Ethernet and Dual Audio Jacks.
Wi-Fi 7 further modernizes its wireless networking options, and a second PCIe 4.0 m.2 location remains free for additional storage updates.
Aid R1 is not shipped in a single configuration so far, combining 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory with 2 TB of semiconductor storage.
This device, at a price of 13,999 yuan (approximately $ 1,960), clearly targets users ready to invest in large capacity equipment, but only a few mini PC Stix Halo are available for less than $ 2,000.
At the time of writing this document, no details were provided on a world version, leaving potential buyers outside of uncertain China of its availability.
