Washington – Representative Ro Khanna, D -Calif., Said that the governor of the Federal Reserve Lisa Cook should release his mortgage documents, but accused President Donald Trump of “following Richard Nixon’s game book to interfere” the federal reserve.

Khanna’s comments in a Sunday interview on “Meet the Press” by NBC News came after Trump moved to Fire Cook on Monday, highlighting the allegations of mortgage fraud. Cook disputes the move in a trial.

The legislator referred to President Richard Nixon putting pressure on the Filée chair to maintain interest rates before the 1972 elections, which Nixon won before resigning two years later due to the Watergate scandal.

Decades later, Fire Cook’s attempt at Fire Cook marked an extraordinary decision to exercise control over an independent agency, a decision that Democrats painted as “authoritarian” and “takeover”, while Trump accused Cook of “misleading and potentially criminal conduct”.

“She should be transparent,” said Khanna, answering a question of whether Cook should release her mortgage documents to challenge the allegations. “But that has nothing to do with the details of Lisa Cook.

He argued that Trump’s pricing policies were on the track of the federal reserve reduction rates, while Trump was pressure.

“Irony is that it is its own policies that have created the situation,” said Khanna. “If he simply repealed the coverage rates, he would not put the inflationary pressure that exists, and the Fed could reduce rates.”

Asked if Cook should release his mortgage documents to fight against the allegations of fraud, Khanna accepted.

“Well, of course, she should release them,” said Khanna. “She should be transparent to see that it is just a political football.”

Cook continued Trump on Thursday, arguing that his attempt to fire her was “illegal and zero”. COOK and White House lawyers appeared before a judge a day later, although the judge did not finally decide at the request of a cook for a temporary prohibition order to prevent him from being dismissed while the case takes place.

The president pushed vocally to the federal reserve to reduce interest rates, frequently reprimands President Jerome Powell. The federal reserve should meet in September to determine the opportunity to reduce interest rates.

Trump’s criticism of Cook began after the federal director of the Housing Finance Agency, Bill Pulte, filed a criminal reference against Cook, accusing him of putting false information on mortgage requests before joining the Fed. Pulte tabled a second criminal dismissal last week, accusing him of distorting another property on a mortgage document. Cook’s lawyer retaliated, calling for the reference “an obvious defamation campaign”.

Khanna’s comments came a few days before the Congress returned from the August recreation, preparing for another high challenge test on files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Khanna and the representative Thomas Massie, R-Ky., Capped a bill to release the Trump administration “all non-classified records” on Epstein. The fight against Epstein took a tour of the congress so forced this summer that the president of the Mike Johnson room began summer recess one day earlier after the Democrats planned to force the votes linked to Epstein.

The Bipartite duo also plans to organize a press conference on Wednesday with “Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s survivors, according to the press release.

Khanna said on Sunday that he was “very confident” that her bill and Massie will pass. The Congress member said that the Wednesday press conference “will be explosive”, adding that “many” speakers had not spoken publicly about their experiences before.

“They will tell their story, and they will clearly say to the American public that they want the release of Epstein files for a full closure about it,” Khanna said.
