As we enter the final hours of Christmas shopping, don’t worry about the length of your list. There’s still time to do your holiday shopping. Although it may be too late to place an order online (unless you’re shopping on Amazon), you can still shop in-store. Most retailers will be open on Christmas Eve, which falls on Wednesday December 24 in 2025. However, these traders will have truncated hours.
Typically, retailers close on Christmas Day, Thursday December 25so Christmas Eve is your last chance to stock up on groceries and gifts. So whether you’re struggling to buy AirPods for mom or simply running out of wrapping paper, here’s where and when you can shop on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve store hours for Best Buy, Target, Walmart and more
Apple: Apple Stores will open at 9 a.m. local time and close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Store hours vary locally, so check local times.
Best buy: Best Buy stores are open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time.
Costco: Costco stores are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
Home deposit: Home Depot stores open regular hours but will close early at 5 p.m. local time. Check the local store’s opening hours.

Will any stores be open at Christmas?
Most retailers will be closed on Christmas Day. However, some pharmacies including CVS and Walgreens will remain open. CVS and Walgreens 24-hour locations will remain open on Christmas Day.
Otherwise, CVS locations will open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time on Christmas Day. Check store opening hours before shopping. Walgreens locations will open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but like CVS, not all locations will be open, so check hours before shopping.
