Sen. Mike Lee Reveals SAVE America Act Has 50 Sponsors
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) revealed that the SAVE America Act had 50 sponsors, adding that there were “enough votes to pass a motion to continue” the bill, which the House of Representatives passed.

In another article on X, Lee admitted that while “there are no guarantees,” the “only solution” is to use the Talking Filibuster.
“I get a lot of questions: ‘What’s next?’ now that we have enough votes to pass a motion to move to the House-passed version of the SAVE America Act,” Lee said in a video. “We must make every effort, that is, encourage everyone who will listen to you. The Senate must invoke the talking filibuster, to enforce the talking filibuster.”
Lee added that “if senators want to debate this issue, if they want to filibuster, make them work for it.”
Alana Mastrangelo of Breitbart News reported that the House of Representatives passed the SAVE America Act, “which aims to prevent non-citizens from voting” in federal elections in the United States – passed by a vote of 218 to 213 – with only one House Democrat voting in favor:
The only House Democrat who did not vote against the election integrity initiative was Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX).
The bill is an updated version of the original Saving America’s Voters Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which never passed the Senate after passing the House in April of last year.
In addition to requiring a photo ID to vote in federal elections, the new version of the legislation also aims to establish a federal requirement for proof of citizenship in the voter registration process, as well as requiring states to maintain voter rolls purged of anyone ineligible.
In an article on Truth Social, President Donald Trump said that not having a voter ID “is even crazier and more ridiculous than men playing women’s sports” or that borders are open.
“We can no longer let Democrats get away with ANY voter ID,” Trump wrote. “They are horrible, dishonest Cheaters. They have all sorts of reasons why this shouldn’t pass, and then they boldly laugh behind the scenes after their ridiculous presentations. If this wasn’t such a serious matter, it would be considered a TOTAL JOKE! No voter ID card is even crazier and more ridiculous than men playing women’s sports, open borders, or transgender for all.”
