Bungie’s Marathon shooter launches on March 5th

Bungie sets an official date Marathon today, its delayed extraction shooter. The stylish-looking shooter from the creators of Halo And Fate was originally scheduled for release in September, but will now launch on March 5. Bungie will launch Marathon on Xbox Series S/X, PS5 and PC, priced at $39.99.
Marathon takes place in a sci-fi universe in 2850, where players take on the role of a runner to collect what’s left. As a Runner, you fight as part of a crew of up to three players in various areas and points of interest. Marathon is a PvPvE environment, so players will fight creatures on planets as well as other players. If you die during a race, you will drop your equipment. But if you survive, your loot goes with you in future races so you get more powerful gear and level up.
Bungie’s delay on Marathon means it’s now launching months later ARC Raidersa pull-shooting game from the creators of The finals which has regularly appeared among the five most played games on Steam since its launch at the end of October. Bungie originally planned to launch Marathon in advance ARC Raiders.
