Colts poke fun at Chargers’ all-gold uniforms, leading Week 7’s top trolls

The blowout victories in Week 7 of the NFL season gave social media administrators more time to think about small messages.
That includes the Indianapolis Colts, who beat the Los Angeles Chargers 38-24. Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ran for 94 yards and three touchdowns to lead the way, while Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 420 yards and three touchdowns.
The Chargers debuted their all-gold “Charger Power” uniforms against the Colts. A pregame message from the Los Angeles uniform included the caption: “Heading to steal the moon,” a reference to a clip from the animated film “Despicable Me.” The main character, Gru, tells his yellow minions that they are going to steal the moon. Indianapolis responded to the post with one of its own: this time, Gru was wearing a Colts cape and standing over the goons.

Here are the rest of the best trolls from week 7.

The Dallas Cowboys offense broke out at home against the Washington Commanders for a big victory.
Dallas racked up 409 total yards for its third 40-point game this season, the most in the NFL and the most in seven games since 1973. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had 264 passing yards and three touchdowns, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, in his first game since returning from an ankle injury, had five catches for 110 yards and a score.

New England Patriots 31, Tennessee Titans 13
The New England Patriots beat the Tennessee Titans on the road.
Quarterback Drake Maye threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns in New England’s fourth straight victory. Tennessee’s offense accounted for 255 total yards, while turning the ball over twice.
The Patriots’ visit to Tennessee marked the first time their head coach Mike Vrabel had been there since the Titans fired him in January 2024. Although Vrabel downplayed his return, New England’s social media account did not, posting a photo of a smiling Vrabel after the victory.

The Philadelphia Eagles bounced back from back-to-back losses to hold on against the Minnesota Vikings on the road.
Facing a third-and-9 with 1:45 left, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts found wide receiver AJ Brown 45 yards to clinch the win. Hurts’ 326 passing yards are his most in a game since 2022. The Eagles also had two receivers with at least 100 receiving yards – DeVonta Smith (183) and Brown (121).
Philadelphia edited a clip from the animated comedy series “SpongeBob SquarePants” to make fun of Minnesota.

This week’s international match ended in an emphatic victory for the Los Angeles Rams against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
The Rams were led by a stellar performance from quarterback Matthew Stafford, who accounted for 182 passing yards and five touchdowns – three of which were caught by wide receiver Davante Adams. Stafford is the third quarterback with a five-touchdown game in three different decades, according to ESPN Research.
Before the game, Jacksonville posted an image of a jaguar holding a ram’s horn in its mouth with the caption: “Full English breakfast, anyone?” Los Angeles made sure to resurface at the post after the victory.

The Carolina Panthers are rolling after beating the New York Jets on the road, their third straight victory.
The Panthers forced two turnovers and recorded six sacks – the last time they had six sacks was in Week 1 of the 2021 season against the Jets. Carolina quarterback Bryce Young threw for 138 yards and scores before leaving the game with an ankle injury in the third quarter.
Playing near the “Big Apple,” the Panthers made sure to poke fun at New York’s nickname.

The Cleveland Browns defense dominated in a win over the Miami Dolphins.
Cleveland forced three interceptions and a fumble, its most in a game since 2022. Browns running back Quinshon Judkins became the first Browns rookie with three rushing touchdowns since 2000.
The big win came with an edited graphic that included, among other things, dolphins jumping out of the ocean with a rainbow above them.
