Construction to begin soon for Bayern Munich?
According to a report by Tz journalists Hanna Raif, Philipp Kessler and Mano Bonk (captured by @iMiaSanMia), renovation work at Bayern Munich on Säbener Straße could begin soon:
The renovation of Säbener Straße and the construction of a new performance center were initially scheduled to begin last summer after being approved by the supervisory board, but the project was later postponed. Work could begin this year. Construction would last three years, require the transport of 50,000 trucks of rubble and with an estimated cost of nearly 100 million euros. A large part of the investment is intended for a new facility for the first team, the design of which has been entrusted to former team manager Kathleen Krüger in her new role as “Senior Leading Expert Sport Strategy & Development”.

Bayern are planning a new training ground on Säbener Straße, on the area currently occupied by the fitness course that former coach Carlo Ancelotti and his fitness trainer Giovanni Mauri completed in 2016/17. The old project, which cost almost a million euros, was almost never used after Ancelotti’s departure. It is now set to be removed to make way for the new training ground. This decision by FC Bayern advances the transformation and modernization of Säbener Straße, after it was decided once again in 2024 that a move of the first team was not an option. Jan-Christian Dreesen, Christoph Freund and gardener Peter Sauer were on site yesterday to inspect the future construction site.
Bayern Munich are always looking to improve their facilities and this project should help keep the club at the forefront of the sport.
