It shouldn’t be Surprising if a Lababdar chicken plate has a delicious taste. The dish is among my favorite jumpers from northern India, a slightly more nervous chicken cousin which is a little more spicy and more tangier but just as creamy.

What was surprising is that this particular chicken had arrived by post. More specifically, he came to a tray in the microwave of the kitchen meal delivery service that looked a little like a white marking television dinner-filled this morning in Seattle that morning, then led to me in Portland, Oregon.

The world of prepared meals delivery has been popular in recent times, and almost each major meal kit service comes into play. I nevertheless learned to temper my expectations during the ready -to -eat meals. It is not easy to make pre-assembled meals taste good, even if they were good when they started. The problem is humidity. And the problem is the microwave. In many cases, the results were OK for the subtranspirated.

But so far, cooking seems to be a great exception. The kitchen is a somewhat new model of prepared meal delivery services, something like a cross between a meal service and Doordash. Rather than making recipes in a kitchen from top to bottom, the kitchen is regional. The service prohibits local and national chefs and promises to provide quality restaurants at home – prepared according to sometimes fairly large name recipes. (Hello, Jose Gces.)

My Chicken Lababdar in particular was a great success. Basmati rice tinged with saffron has maintained its humidity. My pieces of thigh were divided and still juicy. The sauce was slightly tart, a little fiery, with most of its sweetness from the natural sugars of tomato and puree. Frankly, he had a much better taste than the chicken dishes I could get from the restaurant (certainly not super) punjabi in the street of my house. And yet, the preparation was just a question of jumping my tray in the toaster for 12 minutes, or in the microwave for three.

All the cookunity dishes were not as good as the lababdar of the chief of Seattle Gaurav Raj. More about it later. But in its ambition, its basin of culinary talents and its diversity of dishes – Haitian! Indonesian! Philippin! – Collaboration is the best ready -to -eat meal delivery service that I still tested or tasted.

Here is the important story and warnings.

How does the kitchen work

So, first, the bad news: the kitchen is not available everywhere. The meal service is short of eight regional centers of commissioners in the United States and Canada: Seattle, La, Austin, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Miami and Toronto. This leaves aside Virginia-Western, and a good strip of plains states.
