I Appreciate Those on Right Who Backed My Rights, Didn’t Intend to Blame a Group for Kirk Assassination

Tuesday, the host “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Jimmy Kimmel, thanked the people of the right who defended his right to say what he wants without pressure from the government and it was not his “intention to blame a specific group for the actions of what – it was obviously a deeply disturbed individual. Why are you upset.
Kimmel thanked those who contacted her and said that “perhaps, above all, I would like to thank people who do not support my program and what I believe, but support my right to share these beliefs anyway. Who, believe it or not, said something very beautiful in my name. “And also mentioned Joe Rogan as someone who defended him.
He added: “[I]T has never been my intention to highlight the murder of a young man. I don’t think there is something funny about it. I posted a message on Instagram on the day of his death, sending love to his family and asking for compassion, and I thought. And I always do it. Nor was he intention to blame a specific group for the actions of what – he was obviously a deeply disturbed individual. It was really the opposite of the point that I was trying to do, but, I understand that, for some, which seemed ill-intentional or not very clear or perhaps both, and for those who think that I pointed a finger, I understand why you are upset. If the situation was reversed, there is a good chance that I would have felt the same thing. I have a lot of friends and family members on the other side of which I like and that I remain close, even if we do not agree on politics at all. I don’t think the murderer who shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone. She was a sick person who believed that violence was a solution, and it is never, never. And, also, selfishly, I am a person who receives a lot of threats, I receive many ugly and frightening threats against my life, my wife, my children, my colleagues, because of what I choose to say. And I know that these threats do not come from the kind of people on the right that I know and that I like. So that’s what I meant on this subject.
Kimmel also criticized the Trump administration approach on freedom of expression and said that the president of the FCC, Brendan Carr, was right when he criticized censorship in the past.
Kimmel also praised Erika Kirk for saying that she forgave her husband’s killer and that he hopes that if something is removed from the tragedy, that’s it.
