The California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom may not know how the cards work.

Newsom argued with vice-president JD Vance on X on July 30, in the middle of the fighting in progress between Republicans and Democrats to draw favorable district lines in states like Texas.

Vance sparked the debate with a criticism of the districts of California: “The Gerrymander in California is scandalous. From their 52 congress districts, 9 of them are republicans.

NEWSOM – or whoever directs his account – jumped the possibility of winning a victory for the Democrats. (Related: the hopes of the best hopes of the presidential competitor before walking on the campaign track)

“Try it again, stupid stupid,” reads the Newsom post.

Attached is a photo perhaps the most stupid card ever created.

Entitled “Most GERRYMANDES 2025 states”, the card displays an United States mainly gray divided by state lines. Some states are in colorful green.

There is a concise key below, reading “among the most Gerrymandered”. There is only one symbol in the key: a green circle, next to it which is the word “yes”.

Before touching the states included, a break to completely absorb the minimalism of this card.

It excludes a definition of “gerrymanderd”, a source for data, and any explanation of the methodology to determine which states are “the most Gerrymanders”. But by far the most impressive feature is the key.

“Among the most Gerrymandes.”

“Yes.”

It’s almost brilliant in his bone. The states which are supposed to be “among the most Gerrymandered” are: Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Arkansas, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginie-Western, Maryland.

Many commentators have challenged the exclusion of states such as Illinois, Nevada, New York and California from Newsom.

It is next to the point, however. The fact is that Newsom is either clinically slow or the brightest spirit in the Democratic Party. It may well be both.

The Newsom post is around 85,000 likes at noon on August 1. Not all are favorable, we imagine. But for each person who notices the obvious stupidity of the card, there could be five unasiled leftrs who do not. (Related: the Liberals bouled after Gavin Newsom did something healthy for once)

Some newsom supporters will probably examine the governor’s confidence as proof that he is right about Gerrymandering.

“Newsom’s tone suggests that he won the debate, so he won the debate.”

Or they will simply agree because of their personal feelings about the governor.

“I like Newsom, and I don’t like Vance, so Newsom is right on Gerrymandering.”

Newsom may have understood that the substance of his remarks is not relevant as long as he delivers them with appropriate enthusiasm. Citing science ™ is not a bad way to get attached to democrats either.
