Crunchyroll Is Raising Subscription Prices. Here’s How Your Plan Will Change

About a month later end your free tierCrunchyroll is raising prices on all of its streaming subscription plans in the United States. The anime giant announced the changes on Monday, saying the new prices will take effect immediately for new customers and roll out to existing subscribers in March. If you’re a fan already busy streaming Jujutsu Kaisen or Oshi no Konote that these prices will apply the same month in which the finals are broadcast.
From Monday, the streaming serviceMonthly prices are increasing by $2 for anime subscriptions and for bundled plans that bundle anime with the Manga Crunchyroll application. If you are a current subscriber, you will see the new price on your next billing date after March 4.
The Fan subscription goes from $8 to $10, the Mega Fan tier goes from $12 to $14, and the Ultimate Fan plan goes from $16 to $18 per month. Each plan remains ad-free and these changes also include the addition of Fan tier downloads. While Crunchyroll last raised its prices in May 2024, this is the first time the anime streamer has increased the price of the Fan plan since 2019. Do you have a manga plus anime bundle? With the $2 increase, Fan plus Manga increases to $14 per month (from $12), and Mega Fan plus Manga will now cost $17.50 (was $15.50).
To help soften the blow to your winter and spring anime watchlists, the company is offering a limited-time discounted price to existing customers who want to upgrade to an annual plan. Upgrade to an annual Fan plan for $67, or if you’re a bundler, get the Fan plus Manga subscription for $115 for a year, or the Mega Fan plus Manga plan for $142 for 12 months.

The streamer is home to a massive anime library, airing Japanese simulcasts of popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Hell’s Paradise, Oshi no Ko, and Demon Slayer. Premium members also have access to music and its range of mobile games in Crunchyroll Game Vault, as well as additional benefits such as exclusive discounts, freebies and events.
This price hike is not unexpected in the streaming industry, where companies like Spotify and Paramount Plus have already implemented increases this year. In 2025, entertainment giants such as Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney have all increased prices on subscription packages.
