Cyberpunk platformer Replaced has once again been delayed

The long-awaited cyberpunk platformer Replaced . The pixel-art game, but will now be released on April 14. It’s only been a month, which isn’t too bad considering this game has been .
Why this delay? Developer Sad Cat Studios notes that the game is “technically finished” but that the team needs a few more weeks to polish it. The company says it wants the day one version to be “polished, stable and true to the vision” of the original concept. This is something worth celebrating, in my opinion.
It’s just the . However, the previous delays were for a very good reason. The development team had to move from Belarus to Cyprus after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
Replaced is an absolutely stunning 2.5D platformer set in a dystopian alternate America of the 1980s. You play as an AI unwittingly trapped in a human body. There appears to be plenty of cinematic action, with a blurb promising a combination of “precise melee strikes with satisfying ranged attacks.”
The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG and Microsoft Store. This will also be an Xbox Game Pass release on day one.
