D.C. Attorney General Tries to Come For Trump Over Ending Cashless Bail and It Doesn’t Go Well – RedState

President Donald Trump had it with crime in Washington, DC, and therefore in response, he took measures with a 30 -day federalization of local police in the national capital.

On Monday, President Trump made his law on the law further and signed an executive decree to withdraw federal funding from the courts which have “bonding without cash”, as my colleague Redstate, Ward Clark reported.

This comes following the massive success that the administration has experienced in the reduction of crime to DC in the last two weeks since the start of the police takeover.

So this should surprise anyone that the usual left players are now attacking Trump to get rid of left alarm clock.

“Detention before the trial should depend on the question of whether a person is a risk of theft or a threat to the public – not if he can afford a deposit,” wrote the DC prosecutor Brian Schwalb in an article on X. “The deposit in cash creates a two -level judicial system where the poor remain locked up simply because they cannot afford the surety.”

“This decree does not take into account effective and data-based policies only for political purposes-something that each American should be alarmed,” he added.

In response, the DC police union retaliated, putting Schwalb’s record to release criminals under the spotlight.

“You let out all the minors who committed an odious and violent crime dating back to the day you were elected,” said the position on X of the union. “Maybe you should sit down the next games.”

After Trump’s announcement at the beginning of the month of taking control of the police, the DC police union also showed its support for Trump’s actions.

The president of the union, Gregg Pemberton, said that immediate measures were necessary to turn around, as Redstate reported.

In a scathing editorial of Washington Post later, Pemberton said that the anti-political agenda of Democrats is how things have become uncontrollable in the city, Redstate reported.

Pemberton wrote that the members of the DC council put “an erroneous ideology” on the security of those who live, work and visit DC

“Thank the DC council for Trump’s takeover in the city: the federal intervention was a necessary step. The question is what comes then,” said the title, clearly indicating that it was a necessary step, but in no case will this be enough to run things.

“In my role representing more than 3,000 officers, detectives and sergeants, I support federal intervention as a critical stopgap,” wrote Pemberton. “Already, we see positive results. Crime is declining. But let’s be clear: federal control is not a long -term solution. In addition, this would not have been necessary but for the erroneous” reform “program of the DC Council.”
