Dallas PD Releases Security Officer Standoff Footage – Crockett Deflects – RedState

The Dallas Police Department has released body camera footage of the March 11 standoff between a Dallas SWAT team and fugitive “Mike King” aka Diamon Maziarre Robinson. As RedState reported, Robinson was a longtime security guard and coordinator for Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-30). Robinson was shot and killed by SWAT officers while brandishing a gun during the standoff. Police were reportedly attempting to arrest Robinson on an active arrest warrant for impersonating a federal agent, setting up a fake business and using fraudulent credentials to contract with legitimate police officers for off-duty jobs.
The investigation into the shooting revealed more details about Robinson’s criminal history and the circumstances that led to his death. The video footage shows SWAT’s attempts to apprehend Robinson from multiple angles.

The suspect in this case has been identified as Diamon Robinson. But Crockett and many local law enforcement officers knew him as Mike King.
Police said he used a fake name to run a fake security company. This company, Off Duty Police Services, obtained contracts and often hired real Dallas police officers.
But the ruse began to unravel for Robinson in late February after the Irving Police Department released information about a black SUV with a stolen federal license plate. A Dallas police officer recalled seeing this vehicle while working off-duty.
Arrogance? Maybe. Most criminal fraudsters make it a point to avoid even the presence of law enforcement. Robinson decided to create a cottage industry by hiring them for security work. Fox 4 unearthed court records on Robinson dating back to 2009. The man has a criminal record longer than Kamala Harris’ word salads.
According to court records, Robinson had a criminal history that included multiple arrests for theft, probation violation and tampering with a government record.
He had an active arrest warrant for check theft at a hotel where he previously worked as a security guard. He was also wanted for posing as a police officer.
Police said he was not a federal law enforcement agent.
“So the agencies that he worked for don’t exist. Special Dignitary Police, that agency doesn’t exist within the federal government. That’s what he represented himself to be, which his identification papers that he had showed it to be, but those agencies don’t exist,” said Dallas Deputy Police Chief William Griffith.
But wait… there’s more.
Robinson drove an undercover replica car with stolen U.S. government license plates, often wore fake police uniforms pretending he was a federal agent, and created a fraudulent business in which he used false credentials to hire legitimate police officers for off-duty jobs. Dallas police also said 11 firearms were recovered during their investigation, including the handgun he was holding during the shooting, which was believed to be stolen.
This goes beyond poor control. There is no indication that Crockett’s team bothered to do any checks.
After a week of no response, Jasmine Crockett released the following statement. She didn’t answer the obvious question: How can this level of fraud be so close to a sitting member of Congress? Totally because of the brand, she blamed the system and, of course, Trump.
It read in particular:
We are saddened and shocked by some disturbing revelations. Our team followed all protocols described by the House to provide additional security. We were authorized to use this vendor who also provided security services to other entities in the local community and worked closely with law enforcement, including the Capitol Police.
The fact that an individual was able to circumvent vetting processes for something as sensitive as the security of members of Congress highlights the flaws and gaps in many of our systems. This is incredibly alarming, especially for members who receive a large number of credible and sophisticated death threats. This situation reiterates the need for Capitol Police to ensure the safety of Members of Congress, especially amid this administration’s new normal of inciting attacks against those who dare to speak out. We’re lucky that it was someone who used these vulnerabilities without malice. Additionally, after an initial review of Diamon Maziarre Robinson’s limited criminal history in Dallas County, we were unable to locate any violent offenses.
“Limited criminal history? Spoken like a real Soros-backed lawyer.

As a former public defender, I always believed that there was more to people than the worst thing they ever did. I believe in redemption. The man we knew was respectful, caring and determined to protect others.
We are still learning the full story, but today we mourn a life lost. It’s a tragic end that we would have liked to avoid for everyone.
The investigation will undoubtedly uncover much more about Diamon Maziarre Robinson, as well as what Crockett actually knew about his criminal history. At the very least, this demonstrates a glaring lack of judgment or responsibility. Crockett will finish his term in Congress and his Senate hopes dashed in the Texas primary earlier in March. With this potential malfeasance brewing, Texas residents are lucky Crockett is no longer elected.
