Damning New Memo Proves Biden Ignored Warnings of Open-Border Policy – RedState
Former President Joe Biden was reportedly warned that his open border policy would lead to “chaos,” but he ignored the warning, instead listening to the radical left advisers around him.
According to a newly released memo, his advisers told Biden during his 2020 presidential campaign against President Donald Trump that his proposed immigration plans could overwhelm the current system, The New York Times reported.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shared the article, which was featured in a New York Post article with a headline that read:
“Biden was warned his soft immigration proposals would cause ‘chaos’ – but he ignored it, damning memo reveals.”
“A potential surge could create chaos and a humanitarian crisis, overwhelm processing capacity, and jeopardize the new administration’s agenda,” Biden advisers reportedly wrote.
The report noted that:
The memo warned that a mass influx was possible given Biden’s approach, the Trump administration’s backlog and COVID-related challenges.
He pointed out that although advisers gave Biden some possible ways to deal with the looming problems his policies would cause, such as rejecting immigration applications and potentially “keeping asylum seekers in ‘welcome centers’ until their cases can be heard and transferred to other countries,” the former president ignored them.
Even after taking office, advisers reportedly continued to suggest the president take steps such as strengthening border controls and cracking down on border crossings so things don’t get out of hand.
But the voices Biden apparently chose to listen to were those who said that if he did these things it might upset voters on the left, and that illegal border crossings were really only a problem for Americans who live in border states.

Trump’s massive crackdown since taking office again led to a record number of border crossings in November, according to a report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Month after month, we are achieving results once thought impossible: the most secure border in history and unparalleled law enforcement successes,” said Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and the dedication of DHS law enforcement, America’s borders are more secure than ever.”
Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) also shared the border news on X and really laid out the data.
