Date and time officially set for 49ers playoff showdown vs. Seahawks

It will be a familiar day and time for the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks when they face off at Lumen Field in the divisional round of the playoffs.
The NFL announced Monday that the 49ers-Seahawks matchup will take place Saturday at 5 p.m. PT. This is the exact same window they played in in Week 18 when Seattle throttled the 49ers 13-3 at Levi’s Stadium.

This is also a familiar phenomenon for the 49ers who will once again be on a short week. They played Sunday in Philadelphia and now return to play Saturday night. It’s reminiscent of their turnaround from Week 17 to 18 when they hosted the Chicago Bears on Sunday night and then the Seahawks the following week on Saturday night.
Here is the division’s full playoff schedule:
-
Saturday, San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks, 5 p.m. (Fox, Fox One)
-
Sunday, Houston Texans vs. New England Patriots, 12:00 p.m. PT (ESPN, ABC, ESPN App)
If the 49ers win, they will visit the winner of the Rams-Bears matchup in the NFC Championship Game.
If the 49ers lose, their season is over.
