David Montgomery posted a message of thanks and goodbye to Detroit Lions fans and the city of Detroit and Michiganders.
Montgomery was traded to the Houston Texans, with news on Monday, March 2. The deal cannot become official until the new league year, March 11.

Fans reacted with chagrin after loving the 1-2 punch that Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs provided over the past three seasons.
