Death. That’s What the DOJ Wants for Three MS-13 Gangbangers Who Allegedly Killed Informant – RedState
I often denounce the leftists’ soft-on-crime policies and the fact that so many Democratic politicians have completely forgotten the notion of “consequences” for their actions.
“Make the consequences even bigger” has been my mantra.
Behavioral science has repeatedly shown that if you are rewarded for doing something good, you will generally continue to do it – but if there is no punishment for doing something bad, you will probably continue to do it too. And that’s exactly what we’ve seen in many of our major cities, as criminals operate with impunity in New York, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and others.
However, my criticisms do not extend to the Trump administration, as it seems to understand the magnitude of the problem and has addressed it with enthusiasm. First Assistant U.S. Attorney for California Bill Essayli, under Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, not only wants to put these cold-blooded killers behind bars; he wants to make them alive:

Dennis Anaya Urias, 27, Grevil Zelaya Santiago, 26, and Roberto Carlos Aguilar, 31, all of South Los Angeles, are charged with one count of murder in aid of racketeering and two counts of conspiracy to retaliate against a witness or informant. These defendants have been in federal custody since May 2025 and are scheduled to go to trial on July 21.
Two of the suspects are, unsurprisingly in our times, illegal aliens:
Urias and Aguilar are Salvadoran nationals. Urias has a green card. Aguilar is an illegal alien. Santiago is an illegal alien from Honduras.
According to court documents, Urias and Santiago fatally shot the victim at a South Los Angeles grocery store on February 18, 2025. The victim’s status as a government cooperator was well known to MS-13 and subjected the victim to a “green light” order that made him a target for murder by MS-13 members.
About an hour before the victim died, he had what appeared to be a chance encounter with Aguilar inside the grocery store. Following this encounter, Aguilar set in motion a series of events that led Urias and Santiago to murder the victim.

Essayli said words that apparently no Democrat will say in the modern era: You will pay for your crimes.

I have no bloodlust and I don’t dream of making others suffer. That being said, I was completely appalled and saddened as an innocent victim like Iryna Zarutska, the Ukrainian refugee who was senselessly massacred in Charlotte, North Carolina, by a deranged individual whose criminal record was longer than that of most newspapers today. There are so many other similar stories.

The world can be a difficult place, but if we as a society tolerate gratuitous violence and crime, the obvious result is that we will suffer more of it. Todd Blanche, Bill Essayli, and the Trump administration understand this, but far too many Democrats are willing to let this continue because it fits their Marxist, left-wing worldview.
Blanche has only been acting AG for about a week, but he’s already showing he’s not playing games. Murderous gangbangers, you are hereby put on notice.
