Caitlin Clark injury: Fever star expected to return Wednesday against Valkyries after four-game absence

The star of Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark intends to return to the action on Wednesday against the Golden State Valkyries, ending an absence of four games with a strain of the groin. Clark told journalists during Tuesday training that she doesn’t know how many minutes she would play.
The fever coach Stephanie White also said that she provided that Clark was available, except any setbacks in her recovery. Clark played on June 24 for the last time and had an embarrassing fall in the last seconds after scoring six seasonal points.
Clark participated in practice in a limited capacity in recent days, and on Sunday, she felt “good” and took things “day by day”. His highly anticipated return should be an important boon for a team at 0,500 and is 4-5 in the nine games that Clark has missed this season.
“It’s just nice to come back there and get started again with my teammates,” said Clark. “It’s going to be fun to come back there, hope it, and feel things again. I don’t know what the type of minute will be like, but when I’m there, I’m playing hard. It will be a team that will move constantly, so I’m just aware of it.”
The fever won the Clark without Clark’s commissioner’s cup in the programming, but they benefit from the reigning recruit of 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds per match joining the rotation. She already has four efforts of 20 points on her big book through nine appearances.
“I hope to play a decent amount, maybe the 1920s,” said Clark. “I guess it just depends on what I feel and how the game happens and what the team also needs.
The groin tension was already Clark’s second injury this season. She missed three weeks earlier in the campaign due to a quad strain and missed exactly half of the 18 games in the fever with the two diseases. It was the first time since high school that Clark has missed time when she was playing 185 consecutive games dating from her Iowa career.
The fever has not yet won more than two consecutive games this season while they were fighting against the injury bug. Clark is not the only key contributor to Miss Time, and the team signed Aari McDonald last month with an exception of emergency difficulties after Clark, Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson hit the shelf.
