Greg Gutfeld, Brian Stelter, and the ‘Mental Illness’ Trope After Brutal Murder in Charlotte – RedState

The brutal murder of a Ukrainian refugee in Charlotte, North Carolina, has become another controversial political battle when it should clearly be. While the Republicans underlined the culture of crime and the application of the lax law which led to murder, which was filmed, the Democrats and their press allies quickly moved to blame people for having noticed.

While the surveillance images below stop just before the knife strikes Iryna Zarutska, the discretion of the spectator is always advised.

After initially pointed out the murder for more than a day, some points of sale finally made the headlines that went up a version of “Republicans Pounce”.

Yes, because it’s the real story here. It is not another repeat offender has been rejected several times in the streets by democratic policies of “social justice”. It is that the Republicans would dare to underline the consequences of these policies in relation to another insane murder, this time carried out by a guy who had 14 previous arrests.

Which brings me to the next part of the left story. If you have followed how these stories take place in the past, there is a matrix that decides how Democrats react to an act of violence. If the aggressor corresponds to his political story, the spotlights are firmly placed on their identity. If this is not the case, and a pistol is involved, they focus on controlling firearms. But when the aggressor does not correspond to his political account And did not use a weapon, so it becomes a discussion on “mental illness”.

After Brian Stelter of CNN tried this line, Greg Gutfeld of Fox News exploded.

Gutfeld: I am also tired of the term “mental illness” used as a crime cover. When a thug targets a woman, it’s not crazy. He knows it is weaker. When it comes from behind with a knife, it’s not crazy. He minimizes his ability to harm him. When the thug fled, it is healthy because it knows if it remains, it will be stopped. So what would be crazy if he had to face a man without a weapon. Someone like a tyrus. It would be crazy. You would say, “okay, it’s crazy.” But almost all the people who do this kind of thing, they go after women. It’s not crazy, it is self-service.

It is not madness, it is a bad spirit, and it is a bad spirit which is somehow excused in a culture which arms the status of victim, in this case, mental illness, mental illness. And what does society contribute to this, and I say that on the basis of my own personal evidence of being in the streets of the city every day, every day in New York, that when a homelessness shouts to people, it does not shout: “I really did a mess of my life, my boy, I really fucked up.” No, his aggression purely blame other things and other people. He blames the world, he blames people, he blamed you.

We therefore live in a progressive ideological nightmare where the worst of society is authorized by a feeling of victimization, so when this happens, they will always get people like Brian Stelter who says: “Oh, pay attention to racism”, or other people saying: “You know what, but it is not really concerned about our mentally ill mental. It must be executed.

Some will immediately try to chicate with Gutfeld’s declaration that this murderer was not mentally ill, but I think it is an unrelevant argument. Mental disease should not be a factor not to continue the murderers, nor in the way we manage people with several arrests. If you would be too dangerous to free yourself as a healthy person who stabbed a woman on the neck, then you are too dangerous to free yourself as a crazy person who stabbed a woman on the neck.

Democrats do not agree, and that is why mental illness has become such a trope in these discussions. It is trotted as a way to excuse or reduce the brutality of a person who has committed such an odious act. Likewise, those like Stelter then claim to be more indignant by the supposed “racism” than the murder itself.

If this guy is really mentally ill, then he should have been committed forcibly a long time ago instead of being authorized to travel an American city. The fact that he had 14 previous arrests only makes matters worse. It is not compassionate to give a dangerously disturbed person the freedom to live in the street. I understand that the United States has a checked history with the treatment of mental patients, but clearly, the pendulum has swung too much in the opposite direction. If a person is schizophrenic with violent trends, as this man is affirmed, this person is a threat to society and should be treated as such.
