Ghassan Duhine, the deputy for an anti-hamas resistance group in the Gaza Strip published a declaration by Rosh Hashanah on social networks.

Ghassan Duhine, deputy chief of the militia of Abu Shabab in the Gaza Strip, wished the Jewish people on Sunday in an article on social networks. The message included a handwritten note in Hebrew seen by The Jerusalem post.

Duhine has extended “sincere congratulations to our Arab Jews, in particular, to the Jewish people in general, and to all those who celebrate this vacation in the world”.

Several supporters of Hamas went to social networks to express the disapproval of Duhine’s declaration. They accused Duhine of being a “traitor in his homeland and his religion” and a lackey of “his Masters Zionists”.

Some pro-Hamas activists have published death threats, wishing Duhine to be “dragged into the streets of Gaza” associated with images of a superimposed red reticulus target on Duhine’s face.

Who is the ABU Shabab group?

Abu Shabab, named after their chef, Yasser, Abu Shabab, is a group of anti-hamas resistance, aligned by Israel, operating in the enclave.

The declared objective of the armed group is “to meet the need for civil protection, a distribution of humanitarian aid and a securing of areas which will not be victims of terror or local extremism”, according to Yasser Abu Shabab himself in a conversation with Walla, “We will protect civilians, create international pressure and make the end of the violence that no one wants to degenerate.”

While Israel’s offensive in the city of Gaza occurs and Hamas seems to be weakening, it has been reported that Abu Shabab’s forces have actively engaged in combat against Hamas terrorists.
