A survey in Australia found minimal levels of resistance to antibiotics of great importance to human health in three types of meat.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) said there is a low risk of bacteria from retail raw meats being involved in resistant infections or spreading resistance when primary production, processing, cooking and handling of food is practiced safely.
