Disable Windows updates to more precisely control your PC

It is always advisable to keep your PC updated. Windows Updates are frequently released with news, security fixes, and improvements, so they can be extremely helpful in keeping your PC running smoothly.
However, there may be times when you don’t want to run updates. You may want to have more precise control over when and how your PC is updated rather than letting your PC control the schedule. Or you may want to prevent your memory resources from being full or your PC from slowing down. In these cases, you can permanently disable Windows Updates. Here’s how to do it:
What to do:
- In the search bar, type Services. Then scroll down to locate Windows Update Service.
- Double-click Windows Update Service.
- A window will appear. Now, under “Service Status”, tap the button Stop button.
- Click the drop-down menu next to Startup type and change it to Disabled. Then click Apply And All right.
