Discord is distancing itself from the Charlie Kirk shooting suspect

Discord denies that the suspect accused of having killed Charlie Kirk used the messaging platform to discuss his crime, after the service mentioned by the police at a press conference – and after the charges that helped radicalize the alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson. In a declaration at The penisJud Hoffman, vice-president of discord confidence and security, said that society had “no evidence that the suspect had planned this incident or promoted violence against discord”.
On Friday, during a press briefing, Utah governor Spencer Cox said that the investigators had spoken with the roommate of Robinson and that the roommate “said that his roommate, referring to Robinson, jokes on Discord.” The investigators then asked to see the discord messages and proceeded to “take pictures of the screen as each message was displayed,” said Cox. Cox added that the photos “consisted of various messages, including the content of the messages between the telephone contact named Tyler with an emoji icon”. Some of the messages captured by the authorities contained references to “having left the rifle wrapped in a towel” and “engraving balls”, according to Cox.
While COX’s declaration gives the impression that the roommate reported that Robinson had, using Discord, is making a joke, the discord spokesperson says that it actually means the roommate had discussed Discord with a third party and had discussed Robinson making comments elsewhere.
“The messages referenced in recent reports on planning details do not seem to be discordant messages,” said Hoffman. “These are communications between the roommate of the suspect and a friend after the shooting, where the roommate told the content of a note that the suspect had left elsewhere.”
From the Kirk shooting, Discord has also become a target of right-wing influencers like Andy Ngo, who claim that “young high-level shooters” are “radicalized and neat” on the platform. Conservative influencer Laura Loomer also linked the alleged use of the suspect by the suspect to the man who tried to assassinate Donald Trump, saying that “the same platform that the butler’s assassin communicated with people”. Friday, representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) urged the FBI to examine the “radicalization networks”, claiming that online platforms as Discord “are exploited by extremists for recruitment and radicalization”.
Hoffman said The penis This discord has since removed Robinson’s account to violate its behavior policy outside the platform. “We strongly condemn violence of all kinds, including political violence, and we will continue to coordinate closely with the police,” said Hoffman.
