Disgraced former Rep. George Santos reports to prison for seven-year sentence

Washington – Former disgrace representative George Santos reported on the prison on Friday, starting a sentence of more than seven years after pleading guilty to a list of laundry of federal accusations including fraud by wire, identity theft and money laundering.

Santos’ political career was one of the shortest and tumultuous recent memory. After his guilty plea, Santos was sentenced to 87 months behind bars last April and ordered to pay nearly $ 374,000 on return and more than $ 200,000 in confiscation.

During his appearances this week, Santos has repeatedly expressed remorse for his lies and actions, even though he was trying to settle the political scores with those who ousted him from the Congress.
