Disney Store is finally releasing BDX droids figures — and they look fantastic

Star Wars is kicking off New York Toy Fair in a pretty big way – and a little early – with its own Most Wanted event tonight. The focus, as you might suspect, is Star Wars, but also early reveals of toys, collectibles and even clothing before The Mandalorian and Grogu film, release scheduled for May 22, 2026.
Disney Store is unveiling a pretty epic suite of merchandise all themed around the film, and it packs an extra dose of magic from Galaxy’s Edge to Disneyland and Disney World, as some of them will be sold in the parks at merchants like Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, as well as exclusively on DisneyStore.com.
Leading the pack is a personal favorite – take it from someone who is a little obsessed with the adorable, cute, and oh-so-fun BDX droids developed by Walt Disney Imagineering. As part of the existing Disney Store Droid Factory action figure line, BDX Droids arrive as a four-pack.
Like the team that regularly appears in Disney parks around the world – and even on the high seas aboard Disney Cruise Line – you’ll get a red, blue, green and orange BDX unit for just $39.99. While they’re not electronic, they’re the closest Disney will get to releasing a BDX droid that we can buy, and they look pretty detailed. These will be arriving soon at Disney Parks and online from the Disney Store.
Of course, the BDX droids will make their big screen debut with The Mandalorian and Groguand I certainly hope they return to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando, Florida soon enough.
Similar to Hasbro The vintage collection expansion revealed exclusively by TechRadar, Disney Store and the parks will be home to a $39.99 Toybox figure set featuring the main characters – The Mandalorian and Grogu – as well as Zeb Orrelios and R5-D4.
Even more interesting is an upcoming Mandalorian talking figure that will speak classic catchphrases and a few new ones from the film. It will cost $34.99 in the Disney Store online and in select parks, and of course it comes with Baby Yoda and an Anzellan figure.
Now, Din Djarin is no stranger to speeder bikes, and Disney Store is set to ship a fun RC pairing of The Mandalorian with said bike. It will be fully controllable, allowing you to move around with accurate sounds for the show and movie – I just want to know if Grogu can be attached to the back. This will be exclusive to the parks – although hopefully it will hit the Disney Store at some point – with a light-up AT-RT wind-up toy that looks particularly fun.
If you’ve ever wanted to be The Mandalorian, Disney Store – as well as Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Galaxy’s Edge East and West – will be your place. There’s a brand new The Mandalorian headset, which focuses on details as well as sound effects, for $119.99. It can be combined with Mando’s gauntlets, which light up and emit sound, for $99.99.
We’re waiting for Disney Store to confirm the exact release date for these and a few other parts of this early release, but I would expect to see them arrive in the May 4 season. We’re working on the hands-on – particularly with BDX droids – so we’ll update that soon.
