Doctors residents of the NHS in England plan to strike five days later this month from July 25 to 30, while they are pressure for a salary increase of 29% in the coming years.

The union of doctors, the British Medical Association (BMA), says that it will not accept a figure less than 29% – because it is said that it is the extent of the loss of doctors residents of winnings, formerly of junior doctors, have been suffering since 2008.

The Secretary of Health, Wes Street, said that industrial action was “completely unreasonable” and that the government will not revisit the increase in the 5.4% salary which it gave to doctors resident for 2025-26.

The participation rate in the ballot was 55%, with 90% of those who participated in a strike action.

We want to hear NHS doctors in England. What is your point of view on the action of the planned resident doctors? For resident doctors, what are your reasons to participate or not participate? How will you be affected?
