Dodgers manager Dave Roberts suspended one game by MLB

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will serve a suspension of a match on Friday evening against nationals after the protection of the benches on Thursday against the Padres of San Diego.

In addition to the suspension, Major League Baseball announced that Roberts had been sentenced to a fine of an undisclosed amount. The manager of Padres, Mike Shildt, was also suspended a match and sentenced to a fine, and the right -handers of Padres, Robert Suarez, was suspended three games and sentenced to a fine for having “intentionally struck” Shohei Ohtani with a field in ninth round.

“I support it. I think, obviously, I never want to play the game on managers, it should not be,” said Roberts on Friday. “It should be players and win.”

He continued: “It is unfortunately to a point where we became the goal and that’s not how it should be.”

Bench coach Danny Lehmann will manage the Dodgers against the Nationals.

The animosity of back and forth on the field reached a summit Thursday when the dodgers relief launcher, Jack Little, struck Fernando Tatis Jr. with a land in ninth round.

Shildt left the shelter and pointed Roberts, loading the Dodgers manager towards marble. Roberts hit Shildt, making the benches and the arenas empty. The two managers were ejected.
