Dodgers’ Roki Sasaki activated, likely to pitch out of bullpen

Phoenix – Los Angeles Dodgers have activated the Roki Sasaki recruit from the 60 -day injured list, and the right -hander is expected to remove the enclosure from the last five games of the regular season to see if he can win a role of qualifying series.
Manager Dave Roberts confirmed this decision, saying that right-handers Kirby Yates would go to the injured list due to a persistent problem of the hamstrings. This decision is retroactive on September 21.
Roberts said he had no specific role for Sasaki, but wanted him to take advantage of his opportunities.
“Give everything he has for a round or two at a time,” said Roberts. “That’s a bit what I see. Let the performance be playing. I’m going to go after the guys and be on the attack.”
Sasaki, 23, is 1-1 with an MPM of 4.72 and 24 sticks in the stick in 34⅓ sleeves on eight appearances in the big championship this season, it all starts. He also spent time in Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he had 0-2 with an MPM of 6.10 on seven appearances, including five departures.
The defending champions of the World Series Dodgers are looking for aid to the enclosure of the lifts as the qualifiers are approaching. Tanner Scott exploded in the defeat of 5-4 on Tuesday against the Diamondbacks of Arizona.
Sasaki agreed in January a minor league contract with a signing bonus of $ 6.5 million as an international free amateur agent under the rules of the major baseball league, leaving the Lotte Marines chiba of the Pacific League as part of the display system.
His first season in the big leagues was mainly disappointing, but the dodgers hope that he will still be able to play a role in October.
Sasaki is one of the three Japanese players on the list of dodgers with the two -way star Shohei Ohtani and the right -hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
