Don’t Know What to Watch? Samsung TVs Add AI Assistant Copilot to Help

What is a Rom-Com who builds a rainy day? What are the new most popular horror films? Is there still a Taylor Swift documentary? What is the latest Marvel movie I can watch for free? Don’t strive to think. Just ask your TV.
The assistant co -pilot of Microsoft’s AI is now available on certain Samsung televisions and monitors, helping viewers to select the programs or films to watch, where to catch up with past episodes and even how to learn more about the actors.
Copilot will be integrated into the Samsung 2025 range in the United States and will select other markets and ultimately extend to more models and regions.
Copilot can help you choose what to look at.
“Copilot on Samsung TV and Monitors brought AI out of your pocket and in the heart of your home,” said David Washington, managing director of Microsoft of AI, in a press release. “This is where you and your family want to discover something to look at together, get answers to your questions, plan your weekend or simply spend time.”
Here’s how it works. Find co -pilot in the Samsung daily apps menu and click on it. Then press the micro button on your Samsung remote control and ask a question. You can make a very specific request on what to look at, or ask for requests not linked to TV such that “what will he do this weekend? Who are (insert your favorite sports team) tonight? When is summer time?”
The Avatar Copilot, an anthropomorphic beige blob, will tell you its answer and show you an image to accompany it.
Copilot displays a film recommendation.
Is it useful?
CNET TV expert, Ty Pendlebury, adopts a waiting approach on functionality.
“LG and Samsung have announced Microsoft Copilot in CES management, but if people really find that having the AI on their useful television is the big question,” said Pendlebury.
In his examination of the LG C5 OLED, Pendlebury did not find COPILOT as useful as possible.
“Like any assistant, it’s a bit capricious; for example, a Severance search took me to a 2007 horror film, while saying that” Play Severance “first mentioned the Apple television program,” wrote Pendleton.
For the moment, Copilot will be integrated into these Samsung 2025 TVs and monitors in the United States and other selected markets, free of charge:
- Micro RVB
- Neo Qled
- Oled
- The pro frame
- The framework
- Smart monitors M7, M8 and M9
