Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene predicted that Republicans would lose control of the House of Representatives — and possibly the Senate — in the 2026 midterm elections, saying President Donald Trump and the Republican Party promised “America First” but did the opposite.

Greene, once a loyal Trump ally who has since become an outspoken critic, said in an article on X on Thursday that “Americans are hurting,” “both parties are absolute failures” and “the system must burn.”

“The Americans don’t advertise[—] about Trump building a WH ballroom or renovating the Kennedy Center while they pay over $4 per gallon for gasoline and almost $6 for diesel because of another unnecessary foreign war. Americans are suffering. Suffering from unprecedented credit card debt. Suffering from ridiculously high cost of health insurance. Suffering from a high cost of living. I suffer from ever-increasing inflation and an ever-declining dollar because of all the stupid decisions made by stupid politicians,” the former congresswoman wrote.

“Republicans are going to lose the House of Representatives in the midterms and maybe also the Senate because Trump and the Republicans sold out America first but instead ruled America LAST,” she continued. “Democrats put illegals and trans people above Americans and offer no new policies to solve the problems they also created. Both parties are absolute failures.”

Greene left office midway through her two-year term earlier this year after a falling out with Trump last year.

“Don’t lecture your voters that you have to vote for them when you have intentionally failed and betrayed your campaign promises just because the other side is intolerable. Fuck you. You are betraying the American people, you are putting them last, you deserve to lose, you do not deserve support,” she wrote in her post.

“Many Americans are learning to live without the system and want nothing to do with any of it. Homeschooling, farmers’ markets, farming, networking with each other is how many of us will survive beyond the madness of both parties. We have turned a corner and the system must burn,” she concluded.
