Drive-by shooter kills man sitting in Englewood home, police say

A drive-by shooter killed a man who was sitting inside his South Side home Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the 5700 block of South May Street in the Englewood neighborhood just after 5 a.m.

Someone in a gray sedan opened fire, hitting the 45-year-old victim in the head, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.

Police said the driver of the sedan fled the scene heading north on May Street.
Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
