Former Federal Prosecutor Breaks Down How Comey Leaked Details To Media

Former federal prosecutor Jim Trusty told the host of “La Source” Kaitlan Collins on Thursday how former FBI director James Comey used a “special employee” to leak.
A great federal jury charged Comey on Thursday evening for lying to the congress and obstruction with the testimonies given during a hearing of the judicial committee of the Senate of September 2020. Trusty, who represented President Donald Trump in the case of classified documents, said that people should examine “the details of the false declaration”. “You have a large jury that charged. They carefully considered the case. They really shaved it in an area that makes a lot of sense,” Trusty in Collins, an old correspondent of the daily White House, told. “You know, no one really talks about the details of his false declaration. But he was a director of the FBI who had a special employee designed for a goal: to disclose things to the New York Times.”

“Now, when he was in a hurry at the congress if he had or not to disclose something, he had authorized the flight of a note that he kept wrong with him, he said:” No, it was not my memory “. They challenged him about McCabe, another guy who referred to the Inspector General for having lied, and Comey said:” It was not my memory. ” Strange, through all this chaos, through all this kind of political interest in what is happening behind closed doors, which knew what, at the end of the day, the accusation act that remains is in fact quite simple. Either he lied to the New York Times flight in a criterion because he was dismissed, or he did not do it. “
Andrew McCabe, now an analyst for CNN, was dismissed as deputy director of the FBI in 2018 following a report by the Inspector General who accused him of lying on the media leaks. His dismissal was reversed in 2021 following legal regulations with the Ministry of Justice after President Joe Biden took office.
Trusty explained that even if there were unusual aspects in the case, there seemed to be real crimes.
“We have not known the AG deputy and the GA have been on this subject for this subject, deciding whether or not they have been a case. And let me tell you that there are different things, selective proceedings and vindictive proceedings are two distinct things,” Trusty told Collins. “But at the end of the day, if you are able to point out a report by the Inspector General and to say:” Hey, look, here is the Inspector General saying specifically: “Comey gave a dangerous example for 35,000 FBI employees because he wrongly disclosed information.”
“And so, if you have locked up witnesses, if you spoke to the special employee, you may have even talked to the New York Times. I mean, there can be ways to prove this case very well at Comey’s expenses,” Trusy continued. “And before relegating him to Patrick Henry (status to be such a patriotic hero, let us remember his little shellfish shellfish, where a former director of the FBI does not care about killing the president.”
Comey was dismissed in 2017 during Trump’s first term, following a general recommendation, Jeff Sessions.
