Dumbest Political Divide Is Slam Dunk For Conservatives In Europe

For all the boredom of American political debates, at least we do not have to defend air conditioning.
This is not the case in France, where “air conditioning has become part of the political political struggle” in the middle of a summer wave, writes the New York Times (NYT).
On the air conditioning side, and reason, is Marine Le Pen. Le Pen is variously described as “extreme right” (as by the NYT), “right” or “conservative”, according to the author’s policy. (Related: ‘Marine Le Pen!
She promised to deploy a “major air conditioning equipment plan” if her party obtains national control, according to the NYT.

Le Pen is a former leader of the National Rally Party and a leader of the presidential election of France in 2027. In other words, until March, when Le Pen was prevented from requesting public functions for five years by a criminal court judge, supposedly for infractions of embezzlement.
Anti-wave activism is disapproved of by people like Marine Tondelier, the party leader “The Ecologists” of France. Tondelier prefers the “greening” of cities and a total “ecological and social” overhaul, according to a translation of remarks from its X account.
“Air conditioning is what you would call an inadequacy,” said Dan Lert, deputy mayor of the Parisian “ecological transition” policy, according to the NYT. “To solve a real problem, you make things worse.”
Some Europeans are already ready to spit a lot of money for that “”Maladaptation. Italy uses much more air conditioning than any of its European neighbors, according to Euro News, “despite the highest prices of electricity in Europe”. France arrives in fifth for the use of air conditioning in Europe, reports Euro News.
“Air conditioning remains an essential companion in the hardest countries, with more people considering it as a necessity rather than a luxury,” writes the point of sale.
Meanwhile, the Federal Statistics Office of Germany “”recorded a 92% increase in domestic production in 2024“For air conditioning units, according to Deutsche Welle. Production has increased by 75% in the past five years. According to Clean Energy Wire, almost half of the Germans questioned cost concerns as the main obstacle to the purchase of an air conditioner. 41% additional said they would buy a unit if temperatures continue to rise upwards.
The next presidential election will really test the affinity of the French for self-flogging. A part offers a suicidal immigration policy and a heat stroke. The other party does not offer that. (Related: “ would end ”: the president of liberal of France can have a real problem in his hands)
💨 Excellent article in @Ft today urging Europe to stop restricting the installation and the use of air conditioning
If Europe continues its current course and continues to regulate against air conditioning, heat -related deaths will soon reach more than 500,000 per year

About 175,000 people die from “heat -related causes” per year in Europe, according to the United Nations. Just over 14,000 Americans have died “directly from heat -related causes” since 1979, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
We must ask ourselves whether the leaders of Europe hate Europeans. No air conditioning for the French. Windows stuck in the British. The nuclear power plants closed for the Germans.
And waves of migrants that are not suitable for everyone.
