Dustin May struggles as Dodgers fall to Giants for 7th straight loss

San Francisco – The dodgers finally looked like dodgers again on Friday evening.
Too bad this did not happen as long as they were not already down six points.
For the first time in a week, the most score offensive in baseball has finally rediscovered its high -level form of shutter, giving San Francisco Giants the AS Logan Webb its worst departure all season while sending chills in the spine of the quota dressed from Orange to Oracle Park.
But when it happened, the club had already dug a hole too deep for its starry programming could come out of, unable to completely erase a deficit of six points in a defeat of 8-7 against their division competitors – sending the Dodgers to a sequence of seven consecutive defeats which marks their longest since September 2017.
“I like the fight. I thought that a nine, there were good at-beds in there, I scored a few points, I had the chance to win again,” said manager Dave Roberts. “And unfortunately, on the pitching side, we could not prevent it enough.”
Friday, of course, never thought of promoting dodgers given the difference in caliber of the starting pitch match.
On the one hand, webb, the right-handed and implacable all-star right-hander that has largely dominated the dodgers during his seven-year career.
On the other hand, Dustin May, the right -hander of the formerly promising dodgers who has not yet achieved his enticing potential in what was his first high health season so far.
However, for a little while a cold night along the Bay of San Francisco, not very separated by the two specialists in the lead ball, the Dodgers and the Giants have locked the type of near competition which has been the brand of this rivalry in recent years.
At the top of the third, Shohei Ohtani even put the dodgers at the front, splashing his 32nd home run of the season in McCovey Cove beyond the right field for only the eighth time circuit by a Dodger in the history of Oracle.

But finally, May came unique, abandoning seven points in less than five rounds while the giants reached an advance of 8-2. And although the Dodgers (56-39) finally reached one, marking webb with a summit of six points, they came empty during their last trips on the plate, wasted with many positive sub -intrigues in another losing story.
“Today, we were able to follow a few successes, assemble sleeves,” said Shortstop Mookie Betts. “But we were simply raised.”
After starting his night with an increased fast ball speed and a ruthless assault on the striking area, May lost her command in fourth round.

Rafael Devers walked on four throws to start the Channel. Matt Chapman received another free pass despite a mound visit in the middle of the receiver Will Smith. And with a withdrawal, Jung Hoo Lee lacé a triple of two points on the tense glove of Teoscar Hernández, who returned to programming after missing the last four games with a contusion of the feet but always seemed hindered while trying to find the ball in the right field space.
“I have just not been synchronized, I could not timer,” said May about her delivery, who dotted between lightnings of domination and expanses of frustration when he returned from a second career in career.
“During my warm -up launches in the fourth, it was a little absent. Trying to get off your foot a little earlier did not really help. It was a signal. But yes, it just went wrong.”
Things got worse in the fifth, when the Giants (52-43) detected five others while sending 10 strikers to the plate.
Dominic Smith led the Channel with a circuit. May then abandoned one and two walks to load the basics. The Dodgers missed their chance to escape the Channel, when Hyeseong Kim failed to shoot a double end of the end of the sleeve difficult but potential fairly quickly to the second goal.
May was replaced by Anthony Banda, who was greeted by another triple of two points by Willy Adames (who had already dominated to open the scoring in the second round) and a single in the inserting field of Lee, who built Banda at the first goal to punctuate a painfully long round.
“It is difficult to win a big league ball game, but you must always throw it well, you have to catch it and you have to take good at-bats,” said Roberts. “If these three things do not align in one night, it is difficult to obtain a victory.”

It was at that time, after a stretch of six games in which they had scored 10 points in total, that the Dodgers bats finally came to life.
At the top of the sixth, Hernández launched a double of two points that Lee could not quite corral on the warning track, before Michael Comforto followed a two -point circuit which chased webb and reduces the deficit for two.
In the seventh, the Dodgers struck again, when Betts slipped in third after hitting another ball just beyond the range of Lee in the center and then marked on Smith’s single RBI.
“It is certainly more encouraging,” said Betts, who has been among the coldest strikers in the Dodgers range lately. “I can’t talk to everyone. But I didn’t do anything all this time … just to move us forward, to make success, it’s the positive that you can withdraw from it.”
However, this was as close as the Dodgers. Smith was blocked to end the seventh. Kim’s double in the eighth has been wasted. And, in the most frustrating end, an opportunity two-sur once at the ninth passed by the way when Smith went in double game.
The division advance fell to four.
And while the dodgers continue to trip towards the stars break, moral victories remain the only victories in sight.
“I know it fears, but you should try to remove some positive,” said Betts. “At least we fought.”
