Boston – A on -board agent accused of having recorded his mobile phone at the plane toilet cover to secretly film Young Girls was sentenced to just under 20 years in prison on Wednesday.

The former American Airlines, Estes Carter Thompson III was sentenced to 18.5 years, followed by five years of supervised release. The judge of the American district court of Boston, Julia Kobick, called her “appalling” behavior and said that “children’s innocence was lost” because of her actions.

Thompson was arrested and charged in January 2024 in Lynchburg, Virginia, after the authorities said that a 14 -year -old girl on her flight had discovered her secret recording configuration in the toilet. He was charged last year for a chief attempted sexual exploitation of children and a chief of possession of sexual abuse of children representing a prepubère minor.

He apologized on Wednesday in court, describing his actions as “selfish, perverse and bad”.

The police allegedly alleged that Thompson, of Charlotte, in North Carolina, had recordings of four other girls aged 7 to 14 using plane toilets over a period of 9 months.

In a memorandum of determining the sentence subject to court, the lawyers of the United States government said that Thompson “had stolen five young girls from their innocence and their belief in the goodness of the world and the people they would meet there, which rather leaves them with fear, mistrust, insecurity and sadness”.

Thompson, who will serve his sentence in FMC Butner in North Carolina, intends to undergo a specific treatment for the sex offender, said his lawyers. A lawyer for Thompson said by e-mail on Wednesday that he would not comment.
