Edward Hospital in 1972 unrecognizable today

Unless you do a resident from Naperville in the 1970s or earlier, you may have trouble recognizing this Naperville building. It was the Edward Hospital as he looked at on August 25, 1972, when this photo was taken. The medical establishment has undergone more than a few changes over the years. He started as a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1907 before making the transition to a hospital in 1955. Since then, the medical center has undergone many changes and extensions and has now had a whole campus, the latest addition to who is the cardiovascular center of Washington Street and Martin Avenue, which opened this year.
