The FIM SuperEnduro World Championship is widely regarded as one of the most demanding disciplines in off-road motorcycle racing. Riders compete on tight indoor enduro tracks featuring obstacles such as rock gardens, logs and technical jumps. For decades, the championship was dominated by combustion machines and factory teams from major manufacturers.
During the 2026 season, Stark’s VARG EX competed directly against these established manufacturers and some of the sport’s greatest drivers, including multiple world champion Billy Bolt and factory-backed compatriot Jonny Walker.
Eddie Karlsson had a strong and consistent campaign aboard the Stark VARG EX, finishing the championship 4th overall, playing a crucial role in securing vital points throughout the season and helping propel Stark to the top of the constructors’ standings.
Joining the team for the 2026 campaign, Toby Martyn quickly adapted to both the demanding SuperEnduro discipline and high-performance platform, finishing the season 5th overall and contributing valuable points to the historic title-winning effort.

For Sébastien Tortelli, director of Stark Racing, this moment has both professional and deeply personal meaning.
“The exceptional performances of our riders culminated in a historic achievement: winning our first ever FIM SuperEnduro Manufacturers’ World Championship title. This represents a major milestone for Stark, the team and everyone who has contributed to this journey.
The hard work and dedication of the Barcelona team, particularly in the development of the VARG, helped make this possible. This victory is also deeply meaningful to me on a personal level. Just two and a half years ago, here at this very event, we were refused entry into the series. Since then, we have worked tirelessly with the FIM and Promoter to achieve this, always applying our business philosophy and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. It hasn’t been easy, but winning our first FIM World Championship at the same event two years later is an incredible and deeply rewarding achievement.
The journey from being denied entry to the championship to securing a world title in just a few years reflects the rapid evolution of Stark’s racing technology and program.
For Anton Wass, CEO and founder of Stark, the championship victory validates the company’s founding mission.
“From the start, our goal was simple: to build the best off-road motorcycles in the world and prove their performance at the highest level of racing. Winning the FIM SuperEnduro Manufacturers’ World Championship shows what is possible when innovation, engineering and racing ambition come together.”
Stark’s cutting-edge engineering is at the heart of this success.
Paul Soucy, Chief Technology Officer, highlighted the importance of this achievement from a technical perspective:
“This championship demonstrates the incredible potential of the VARG platform. From power and traction to reliability and control, the technology is proven in the most demanding racing conditions. This is a significant milestone for the entire engineering team.”
A defining moment for electric racing?
Stark has once again redefined the boundaries of off-road racing by winning the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro Manufacturers World Championship. This momentous victory not only demonstrates the company’s commitment to high-performance electric motorcycles, but also reinforces its leadership in the global transition to electrification.

Eddie Karlsson: #42
“First of all, I’m really happy for the team and everyone involved. Winning the constructors’ title in SuperEnduro is really special. I’m also happy to finish fourth overall in the championship.
We progressed throughout the season, with three podiums and very close battles. Winning a SuperPole in the last round was also a great moment.
Overall, I’m very happy with the season and I’m already looking forward to next year to continue improving and fighting for wins. »

“The final round in France was always going to be a tough night, with a very physical track. I had a really good lap of SuperPole, which gave me the 4th gate pick. In the first race I got caught in traffic and had to fight my way from behind, but I had good starts in races two and three and was able to fight with the best. Unfortunately, a small crash and a few arm pumps got the better of me.
But overall, I’m happy to finish the night fifth overall and fifth in the championship. It’s also really cool to clinch the constructors’ title for Stark, a big achievement for the whole team after all the hard work. »
