Elisabetta Cocciaretto stuns Jessica Pegula at Wimbledon in first-round victory

American tennis The pro Jessica Pegula suffered an amazing and early release of Wimbledon in the first round on Tuesday when it was beaten in less than an hour by the Italian classified 116, Elisabetta Coccireretto.
Cocciatto, 24, managed to achieve his very first victory in the Top Five in Wimbledon With ease, beating Pegula in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

“To play here in such an incredible stadium and such an incredible tournament, it’s a dream come true for me. I was so pumped to play Wimbledon this year,” Cocciaretto said in his interview on the field after the match.

“I played a very good champion. She is an incredible player, she is an excellent example for us.”
PEGULA’s loss occurs just a few days after defeating IGA SwiTEK In straight sets on grass to win the bad Homburg Open in Germany. Unlike his match against the fivefold champion of the Grand Slam, Pegula fought against the aggressive game of Cocciatto, hitting only five winners and making 24 uns forked mistakes.

“For this to happen today, it’s disappointing. I don’t know how to say it differently,” she said after the match. “I am upset that I have nothing able to return anything. But at the same time, I have the impression that she played a little crazy. Chapel to her. Bravo for her for having played at a high level that I could not match it today.”
