Emmanuel Haro Believed Dead by Police, Parents Arrested

The police think that Emmanuel Haro, 7 months old, died, more than a week after his mother said that the infant had been kidnapped in California and that the baby’s parents were arrested for suspicion of murder.
Nowsweek Contacted the Sheriff Department of the County of San Bernardino (SBCSD) by e-mail Friday evening for additional comments.
Why it matters
The initial report of Emmanuel’s mother, Rebecca Haro, of the alleged abduction in a parking lot of a shopping center, immediately raised the concerns of public security.
The baby’s disappearance caused a multi-aging investigation, the execution of search mandates, the seizure of evidence and the community alarm through the inner Empire, which raises questions about the circumstances surrounding the boy’s last known moments and how the investigators favored the tracks.
What to know
The authorities arrested Jake Haro, 32 on Friday, and Rebecca Haro, 41, at home in Cabazon, California, suspected of murders. They were placed in police custody after a armored vehicle “struck their front door”, the Los Angeles Times Reports.
The SBCSD said that the investigators had determined that the removal reported in the Yucaipa did not occur and that the probe was increasingly focused on parents after identifying inconsistencies in the mother’s declaration.
“We think that Emmanuel has died and the research to recover his remains is underway,” the Sheriff department said in a press release. “Although these arrests mark an important development, we focus on the search for Emmanuel,” added the deputies later.
According to CBS News, quoting the deputies, there are no other suspects. The deputies also declared to the point of sale that they were carrying out an operation at the family’s home earlier Friday, and the police could be seen outside the house, according to CBS.
The Haro family home was served with search mandates, deputies said in an update earlier this week. The KTLA news station also said that the vehicle belonging to Jake Haro “had already been seized to be treated for evidence”, citing the Sheriff department.
In an interview with KTLA, Rebecca Haro initially declared that an abduction had occurred outside the Big 5 sports products on the night of August 14, where she went to buy a toothpick for the football training of her eldest son. The mother said that she had brought Emmanuel with her and noticed that he needed a change of layer.
The story of Jake Haro with the police was also reported previously by The County of Orange register, Note that he was found guilty of crime of cruelty to volunteer children in June 2023.
