EPA employees put names to 'declaration of dissent' over agency moves under Trump

A group of employees from the environmental protection agency has published a Declaration of dissent to the EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, on the management and policies of the agency. Their move on Monday reflects one of the NIH researchers earlier in June. More than 170 employees have signed their name to the document, with more signature anonymously for fear of reprisals. The letter was also supported by scientists and external academics, including 20 winners of the Nobel Prize. The letter represents an increasing number of scientists who publicly criticize a weakening of funding and federal support for climate, environment and health sciences as part of the last Trump administration.
