ESPN’s Jeff Passan blasts Mets ‘disintegration’ a day after organization’s historic collapse

New York dishes were one of the best teams in the whole MLB earlier in the season, but when approaching the end, they became one of the most severe – at the worst time possible. To worsen things, Star Slugger Pete Alonso continues to avoid getting involved in his future in New York.
“But again, we will see what’s going on. I love it, it’s great, but you can’t really predict anything. And for me … I focus on the test to put this thing through the finish line. I didn’t really think about the free agent before we’re talking about it right now,” said Alonso. “It would be great to stay. But, again, whatever happens, I can’t get a crystal ball. I want me to be able to, but we will see. ”
On Thursday, the dishes marked the story for all the bad reasons, becoming the first MLB team in the modern era to undergo a bizarre and embarrassing loss against the phillies.
“The dishes are the only MLB team in the modern era to score more than 4 points in the first round, but no one has reached the basis of the rest of the game and ends up losing,” published OPTA statistics.
A day later, things got worse against the Texas Rangers. The first round was so disastrous that Jeff Passan d’Espn weighed on the measure that the dishes fell.
“The New York dishes, losers of six consecutive games, are down 6-0 and against Jacob Degrom. Since the beginning of 45-24 and possession of the best MLB record, the dishes are 31-47, better than the rocks, the twins and the nationals. It is not a collapse. It is a disintegration, ”posted Passan.

Passan does not hold back – and for reason. Even if the dishes survive somehow long enough to sneak in the playoffs, it is difficult to see them go far. New York went from the highest of the ups to the bottom of the stockings.
The dishes are currently clinging to the last point of Joker, just in front of the Reds of Cincinnati. But the season slips quickly through their fingers – and the team begins to collapse completely.
