Democrats told the Daily Caller they’re not completely sold on former Vice President Kamala Harris’ name change.

Harris and her team announced Thursday that her campaign account The former vice president explained in a video that it is a place where young people can learn about current events and meet political leaders.

Some Democrats aren’t fans of the idea, with one telling the caller he wishes Harris would stay in more predictable and controlled policy areas. (RELATED: Kamala Harris Is Still in Total Denial)

“Another meme-making account! Wow, revolutionary,” a former Biden-Harris White House aide told the Daily Caller.

“[I] I didn’t think she was going to make a presidential announcement this soon, but it showed how ominous it seemed,” the former staffer told the caller. “Everyone felt kind of nervous. It’s easier when she goes on the book tour. It’s predictable.

In the hours since its launch, the account has served as a quick response account aimed at countering the Trump White House’s claims. The team running the account told independent journalist Kyle Tharp that they hope to be the go-to place for Gen Z to get their news.

“Great team, important goal, terrible candidate,” a former Dem administration official told the caller.

Two former senior Biden White House officials argued over the account and its name change to

“Q for this and similar projects: How will you measure what content persuades/engages? » she wrote in an article.

“I haven’t seen yet [digital] people measure success beyond views/likes. I’ve even seen them tout an article as ‘effective’ because it had a huge number of impressions, when that message was proportionate to negative content,” Feldman continued.

Maya Luna, the CEO of Progress Libs, posted on X that Harris was the “microcosm of everything that is wrong with the Democratic Party.” And a CNN panel called the account’s nod to the “6-7” joke “cringe.”

Some Democrats believe this narrative at least shows the party is willing to exploit new media and unified messaging, which was a weakness in the 2024 campaign.

“This is a constructive signal that Democrats are serious about organizing and messaging discipline. Voters are looking for clarity and competence, not noise,” Laurie A. Watkins, a Democratic strategist and former Obama policy adviser, told the caller. “Building a focused platform that keeps the conversation anchored in economic pressure points – cost of living, health care, child care and household affordability is exactly where the party needs to invest its energy right now.”

The former Biden-Harris White House staffer who spoke to the caller said Harris should stick to her book tours and speak to older audiences.

“Stay loyal to the aunties and adults who come on your book tour,” the former aide told the caller. “Everyone who is interested should run for president, but those who run [the Democratic National Committee] in millions of dollars of debt, we should probably think twice.
